I was born in Ft. Lewis, Washington, but have lived in Texas most of my life. The child of Ruth Grace (nee Holzenberg) and Arthur Grace (both of whom are deceased), I have an older sister, Karen, and brother Derek.
I am divorced and have two children - Darcy and Garry. Both of them were insprirations to the creation of characters within the books. Another such inspiration is Katrina, my one and only grandchild. Katy appears in books two and three, "Virtually Bewildering" and "Virtually Amazing."
Besides working on my books and dashing off the occasional bit of humorous verse, I enjoy oil painting, baking, sewing, knitting and crocheting, cross stitch embroidery, and, most of all, WALKING. I always wear a pedometer on my belt, and last month's tally was an all time high: 267 miles...yikes! (Athletic shoe makers love me...)
My favorite colors are blue and green, which tends to give away the fact that I'm a nature lover. I like most types of music, and I read just about anything I can get my hands on. I love movies of almost all kinds (no westerns or war movies, please), swimming, and hiking in the mountains. Favorite foods? Fresh fruits like apples, oranges, and PLUMS...mmm! - warm bread with a hint of real butter, and (drum roll, please)...CHOCOLATE!! (Preferably milk, preferably with hazelnuts.)

Frito, an impulsive bundle of energy, Darcy, a nature lover, Jim, an intellectual with a bit of a temper, and Sammi, a slender tomboy, somehow manage to get along despite a rather rocky beginning. It seems to take forever until the gaming place, Virtually Incredible, finally opens for business with Frito and friends first in line to experience the adventures. But the computerized games are nothing compared to what they find deep within the old warehouse!
